Andrew Gelman and Jennifer Hill, Data Analysis Using Regression and Multilevel/Hierarchical Models. We will cover chapters 2-10.
John Fox, An R and S-Plus Companion to Applied Regression. A useful book for learning R.
Also, you should set up your computer using the instructions on this page. But you don't have to set up WinBugs and OpenBugs.
